송하영의 회화는 일상에서 관찰되는 경계와 흔적을 출발점으로, 이를 색·면·구조의 관계로 재구성하는 회화와 공간 작업을 이어오고 있다. 도시의 가시적인 형태뿐 아니라 표면 아래에서 감지되는 미세한 감각, 즉 움직임과 리듬, 온도와 같은 요소들이 작업의 중요한 단서가 된다. 이러한 감각들은 도시 공간 속에서 스쳐 지나가는 시각적 경험이자 화면을 구성하는 형식적 출발점으로 작동한다.
수집된 감각적 요소들은 색면, 선, 기하학적 구조로 재배열되며 화면 안에서 서로 다른 층위와 구조가 충돌하고 스며드는 관계를 형성한다. 이러한 구성은 단순한 형태의 배열을 넘어 화면 내부에서 긴장과 균형을 만들어내며 하나의 시각적 리듬을 조직한다.
또한 이러한 구조는 평면에 머무르지 않고 공간으로 확장되는 가능성을 내포한다. 화면 속에서 형성된 색과 구조의 관계는 때로 입체적 구조와 설치적 구성으로 이어지며, 회화와 공간 사이의 경계를 유연하게 넘나든다. 이러한 작업 방식은 단일 장면의 재현을 넘어 감각의 이동과 축적 과정을 시각 언어로 번역하려는 시도에 가깝다.
최근에는 평면과 입체를 오가는 실험을 통해 형태·구조·표면이 공간 속에서 확장되고 전환되는 방식을 지속적으로 탐구하고 있으며, 도시 환경에서 발견되는 시각적 단서들을 작업의 구조적 형식으로 전환하는 연구를 이어가고 있다.

Song Ha Young’s work begins with boundaries and traces observed in everyday environments, reconfigured through relationships of color, plane, and structure across painting and spatial forms. Beyond the visible structures of the city, subtle sensations perceived beneath the surface—such as movement, rhythm, and temperature—serve as important cues within the work.
These sensory elements are rearranged into color fields, lines, and geometric structures, forming layered relationships in which different spatial levels intersect and permeate one another. Rather than a simple arrangement of forms, this process generates tension and balance across the surface, organizing a distinct visual rhythm.
The resulting structures often extend beyond the flat plane. Relationships between color and structure sometimes develop into sculptural or installation-based forms, moving fluidly between painting and space. In this way, the work approaches an attempt to translate the movement and accumulation of sensory perception into a visual language.
More recently, the artist continues to explore how form, structure, and surface expand and transform within space, translating visual cues discovered in urban environments into structural elements within the work.
